The legendary inflatable kangaroos wearing England shirts, that seems to get more in number as the tour progressed. Whenever they were brought out, they were greeted with a chant of 'Skippy is a Pommie...' to the immense annoyance of the Australian supporters... which of course only made us do it even more. |

Barnard performs the chorous of the 'Monday Song' in PJ O'Briens bar in Adelaide. Wacker can be seen in the foreground, doing the same. |
 |
A very drunk-looking Barnard poses with Dermot Reeve, who was a fully fledged member of the Barmy Army in Adelaide and Perth, joining in with singing, and acting as an auctioneer in a charity auction. |
 |
Wacker and Jimbo at the Barmy Army charity bash in Adelaide, a top night, from what we can remember of it. |
 |
Jimbo poses in the background, as the Skippies, decked out in Barmy Army gear also attended the bash in Adelaide. |
 |
Barnard, Cooper, Jimbo and Wacker - note how happy Cooper is looking in this photo. This may give you some idea of what we had to put up with over the three and a half weeks that we were out there (we love you really, Coops). |

A very drunken Barnard poses with some of the Barmy Army towards the end of the bash in Adelaide. Far left is the Geordie fella that seemed to go everywhere we went, next to him is one of the best singers I've ever heard, and one of the main reasons my voice was so f*cked, as I was trying to match him for volume. Next to me (providing valuable support) is Katy, one of the main organisers of the Barmy Army on this tour. Next to her is Matt Brown (a.k.a. Charlton fella) another good sport and singer. I've no idea who the guy on the far right is, but he was an excellent singer, and seems to have won two bottles of Whiskey in the raffle! |

Probably the only smile ever captured on camera from Cooper. This photo was taken outside the Coopers Brewery merchandise shop in Adelaide. Perhaps Cooper is so happy here as he has realised that his family proabaly owns half of Adelaide, and he is a Multi-millionaire. Either that, or he's taking the p*ss. |

This picture appeared in the 'Western Australian' - the closest thing you're going to get to a national newspaper in Oz - and is taken outside our hostel in Perth. We were staying in the same accomodation as some of the Barmy Army heirarchy, and after interviewing them, the press wanted a few snaps for the paper. As well as Beeden, Barnard, Wacker, Jimbo and Cooper, you can also see Katy and Barmy Army veteran, John, who has been on most tours since the last Ashes. |

On the hill in Perth, the Barmy Army performs the 'Monday Song'. Justin Langer was also known to join in with the chorus whilst fielding at gulley, and was generally a good sport until his much publicised comments about the Barmy Army's treatment of Brett 'No Ball' Lee. Langer and Hayden were top sports in Perth, especially after Haydens piles operation, prompting such classic songs as 'He's got a bunch of grapes, up his arse...' among others. |
