![]() Jack Petchey AwardsWhat are Jack Petchey Awards?The Jack Petchey Foundation, established in 1999, gives grants to programmes and projects that benefit young people aged 11 - 25. The Foundation is eager to help young people take advantage of opportunities and play their full part in society. Grants are given through different programmes including: Achievement Award Scheme, Leader Award Scheme, Projects Grants and Sponsorship. Grants of over £20 million have been given since the Foundation was established in 1999 (grant budget for 2006 - over £7m). The Foundation is expanding rapidly. For more information, visit the Jack Petchey Foundation site at www.jackpetcheyfoundation.org.uk Edmonton CC and Jack Petchey AwardsEvery month a nominee aged 7-25 is to be rewarded for effort, acheivement etc and will receive a framed certificate, an invite to the central London venue to collect a gold medal and £200 to be spent on equipment for the club decided by them. There is also an award for an adult who will attend the Annual Jack Petchey Presentation Evening where s/he collects a certificate, a medal and £1000 for the club. July 2006 Danny Muschamp Captain of the Under 17s league winning side. June 2006 June Winner May 2006 Chris Goddard Chris has used his £200 to purchase new team kit bags for the colts section, Chris is a hard hitting committed club man, always ready to help in any way he can. April 2006 Adam Herron Adam was awarded the award for his assistance with colts cricket and for his commitment to skippering the Sunday 1st XI. Adam allocated his £200 to purchasing two complete sets of wicket keeping equipment for the clubs use. Photos The photos below are of the Jack Petchey winners dating back to April 2006.
